Setelah sekian lama Google menjadi penguasa di dalam dunia maya (search engine + penghasilan), akhirnya mendapatkan tantangan terbaru yaitu  dua perusahaan Microsoft akan mengakuisisi Yahoo. Di jaman yang sudah sangat membutuhkan ini, online di dunia merupakan standar yang mungkin bisa dikatakan wajib bagi semuanya. Walaupun Microsoft nantinya menguasai Yahoo tapi untuk Iklan di dunia maya akan tetap dikuasai google, dimana gabungan perusahaan (Microsoft dengan MSN nya plus YAhoo) belum bisa mengungguli Google  yang market share nya 55%. Tapi ini merupakan tantangan baru bagi Google.
